São Miguel do Gostoso is one of the best kitesurfing destinations on the planet. Steady wind, flat water, mild temperatures and a community that makes the village a second home for kiters from all over the world.
Why Gostoso is the kite mecca
- Flat, shallow water: sandy bottom, and you can stand up to 200 m from shore
- Water temperature: 26 to 28 degrees all year, no wetsuit
- Variety of spots: flat water, waves, lagoons within 15 km
- Full infrastructure: schools, rentals, storage, repair, shops
- Welcoming community: kiters from Brazil, Europe and North America
Ponta do Santo Cristo: the most famous spot
